The starting point
First of all, we will need to meet with you – this does not entail any obligation on your part. That discussion will enable us to tell you in detail about our service and the specific areas where we can be of assistance. You may have even decided on a particular course of action and simply want us to expedite your instructions. Whatever the circumstances may be, we will in all instances need information from you – quite how much will depend on what you are seeking of us.
If for example you decide to utilise our full planning service, we will require a thorough understanding of all your financial affairs. Where you want advice that is confined to one or two specific areas, then we are likely to need less information. We can then proceed to the next stage – strategy recommendations and implementation.
Every client has different circumstances and priorities, so there are no ready- made solutions. Instead, we will use the information you give us to consider the singularly most appropriate solutions and recommendations for you.
Our proposals will be presented to you in the form of a written report. This document will also show you the basis on which our advice has been given and how and why decisions were reached. Even at this stage of the process you are still under no obligation to proceed, but should you decide to follow our recommendations, we will be pleased to implement them on your behalf.
Continuous Review and Support
Some clients come to us for advice on one specific problem or opportunity; others look to us to provide them with an on-going service. That is a decision for you to make. There are however significant benefits in forging a long-term relationship with us -particularly as your business changes and your financial affairs become more complex.
By appointing us as your adviser, we will endeavour to ensure your overall financial planning strategy evolves in line your business and personal circumstances. If your circumstances change, and you find you have new requirements that have not been planned for, then we will deal with the matter.
You may have other trusted professional advisers, if so, we will be pleased to work and liase with them on your behalf. For an insight into the practical benefits and the scope of our service, please refer to the case studies on the following pages.
